Dr. Rutger Stache is a lifelong Illinois resident and loves being an orthodontist. “I am passionate about creating beautiful smiles that will last a lifetime. I think it is so important to get to know each patient, and every family, to deliver the best individualized treatment and experience possible. I cannot imagine anything more rewarding, along with building ties to the community while raising my family.”
Dr. Stache has extensive training and education that he received from the University of Illinois at Chicago. After obtaining his Bachelor of Science in Biology, he then earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, graduating with honors. Dr. Stache continued his education after dental school and pursued specialty training in orthodontics. He completed an intensive 3-year residency program, earning his Master of Science in Oral Sciences degree. He maintains an active membership in various professional organizations and completes regular continuing education training to stay on top of the latest advances in the field. Dr. Stache is board certified and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO). This is a distinction that not all orthodontists achieve and represents a lifelong commitment to providing the highest level of care.
He currently lives in Glen Ellyn with his wife, Dr. Laurie Stache (also an orthodontist), their two daughters Sadie and Talia, and their black lab Zeke! Outside of the office, Dr. Stache is an avid runner and has ambitions to complete all World Marathon Majors. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and traveling.
